About Us

Our History

Sam was born on a clear, California morning in January 1988. We couldn't have known at that moment how much he would change our lives forever. Blindness, followed by a stroke during surgery, plunged our family, unprepared, into a new, unfamiliar and, at times, frightening world.

Life-changing transitions can be supported by caring other individuals. When thus supported, new dreams begin to emerge out of the rubble of dreams no longer within reach. As we continued through our family's experience, one of these new dreams for Stacey has been to share our experience, insights and message of love and hope we experienced through and with Sam.

Stacey B. Thacker became a licensed marriage and family therapist , presenter and consultant who has devoted her career to walking with individuals and families during their own times of transitions and growth.
